You can choose any base between your bracket's minimum and maximum. A higher base means a higher fee today, but also a higher benefit base for your pension and sick leave.
Based on Orden PJC/297/2026. Contribution bases are updated for 2026; the rate rises to 31,5% due to the MEI increase. Indicative result, not tax advice.
How the autónomo fee is calculated
Work out your net income
Subtract your deductible expenses from your revenue, plus an extra 7% deduction for hard-to-justify expenses.
Divide it by 12
Annual net income is spread across 12 months to get your average monthly net income.
Find your bracket
That monthly figure places you in one of the 15 brackets, which sets your minimum and maximum contribution base.
Apply the 31.5% rate
The contribution rate is applied to the base you choose within the bracket, giving your monthly fee.
